From file to finished.
Choose a tool, try a sample, then prepare your own copy.
1. Choose your task
Start with image compression for a KB limit, the image editor for a crop, or a PDF tool for pages and text. Every workspace has a sample you can try first.
2. Set your requirements
Use the required size and dimensions from the service receiving your file. KB means 1,000 bytes here. If a size target cannot be met, reduce the dimensions, change the format or adjust quality.
3. Review and download
Compare the preview, size and page count before downloading. Check OCR text carefully. Matching the dimensions and size does not guarantee acceptance by another service.
Which PDF compression tool?
Lossless optimization keeps text and vectors. Image compression recompresses supported embedded images. Scan reduction turns whole pages into images and removes searchable text. Choose the trade-off that suits your document.
Saved presets and the new domain
Saved requirements belong to this browser and website address. If you used file-ready-studio.pages.dev, export your presets there and import the JSON file in FileFix. No account or automatic cross-site transfer is involved.
Trouble opening a file?
Use an unencrypted, unsigned file within the tool’s stated limits. Some PDF forms, image profiles and complex embedded images are unsupported. Close unused tabs if your device runs out of memory.
Worked example: a 200 KB photograph
Choose Try a photo on the home page. Set 200 KB, JPEG, and exact dimensions of 600 × 400 pixels. Prepare the image, compare both previews and check the actual byte count. On our reviewed sample, the output is 129,865 bytes; your file and browser can produce a different result. Download the image and the separate check sheet.
When a target cannot be met
A 1 KB target is too small for many useful images. FileFix keeps your requested dimensions and reports an over-limit result instead of silently shrinking them. First check whether the receiving service allows fewer pixels; then try JPEG for a photograph or a higher size limit. Inspect small text at full size before submitting.
Before asking for help
Note the tool name, the language, the file format and the visible error. Try the built-in sample to distinguish a file-specific issue from a browser issue. Do not include your document, filename, identity numbers or other private content in a public issue report.
